Hey guys i think my 1969 351w mach 1 has an fmx but im not sure. Can u help me with a quick id i don't have a door tag. Should a magnet stick to it?? Im new at this so please forgive this question.
If it has a removeable bellhousing made of aluminum and the body is cast iron it is an FMX....if aluminum body it is a C-4....and all one piece with cast in bellhousing it is a C-6.
Man im confused the body looks like its iron but the magnet only sticks to the trans oil pan not bell housing, Any easier ways to tell?? Give me the most basic if you can i really appreciate you bearing with me.
I can tell by looking but I don't have any concrete clues to give you because I haven't messed with an FMX in many years but if your car is a 69 351 Windsor and it is a stock transmission them it is an FMX.
