In the last week I've fixed both my power window switch and door chime for free!!

The switch was simply sanding down the corrosion on the terminals and the chime was replacing a spacer ( both fixes on Google).

I know neither of these will break the bank but hey, I saved money instead of spending.

What are your favorite free fixes ( or mods)

I was having front tire rubbing issues and was almost ready to start trimming the ground effects, turns out the homemade fender spreaders had vibrated loose. re-adjusted and no more rubbing

For me, my window switch would not roll up the rear windows, so instead of replacing it I was able to fix it by sanding off some corrosion

Then my door chime was almost mute, the chime foam has deteriorated and I simply cut a section of wire to replace it, now it's nice and loud.

Instrument cluster of my new to me ford five hundred would cut out and lose all power.
Also forced reverse lights to stay on.

Removed cluster and resoldered two poor solder joints.
all good now.

Under the dash by the steering wheel. One sec on a link.

Video shows how to get to it.

The metal disk needs separated from the hold down thing. You can use foam you cut, or I used some 18g wire, you can use a o ring or weed wacker line, the main thing is it being thin enough for the hold down to fully clamp
