Well,,,,,,I guess I should have been happy with the 14.3!! Thats pretty good for an all stock car.There's people all over the place saying there running low 13's,,and high 12's with the stock cam and heads.But you know what,,if you ask them what they have done to there "stock car",you will see its not that stock.OK,,great there the original heads,but they have been ported,polished special valve jobs, ect...............And then they took off the AC,and the smog pump,and the power steering,all the carpeting,spare tire and jack,passenger seat, and so on.........When I refer to a stock car,Its gotta be the exact way it was when it initially left the car dealers parking lot.Granted,if it was a 5-speed,its a pretty safe bet that it would be in the 13's.Im 37,I owned about 20 cars so far since I got my license.( 16 years old ) And 70% of them have been manual transmissions.I havent had an automatic car since 1992!!! Plus when it comes to bracket racing,consistency is the name of the game. AKA---Automatic
A powerglide would be perfect!!! But I do alot of highway driving.I hope no one takes offense to my opinions,,because its only just that,,my opinions
I gonna put my 373's back in,keep my 26 inch DR's and finish out the season like that.Over the winter its gonna be homework time
