I am about to start negotiations on my '05. However I have just heard rumors about the '06 models having more options. I pretty much know what I want in the GT and have test driven it. Do I wait, is there a website with more information on the next models or the Cobra?
I also don't want to be one of those whiners who never buy because something better might be coming along. I'm in Maine, so I plan on pushing or waiting for a deal, because (if I do purchase the car within a few months) because it is just going to sit in my garage.
Any advice?
Thanks.

Brad Barnett's site has some good information. Not a lot out about 2006 yet but rumours abound. New color choices for sure. Looks like 18" wheel option. Not sure about anything else.

It really boils down to what you want, which only you can answer. If the car you are looking at has everything you want in a car, buy away. If you are missing something important, you'll have to search the stang websites to see if it will come on a Cobra or 06 GT.

My Mustang had everything I was looking for. I don't race, so a Cobra didn't fit my profile. 06 had a color (titanium) that I really like but after getting the Torch red, I can't believe I disliked it at first. It's my new favorite color!

P.S. - Mustangs are notorious for not liking garages at ALL. Mine whines and moans about being in the garage and I am ALWAYS having to take it out for a spin about town. Get's a little tiring, let me tell you. Dang car. "Drive me, drive me, drive me" it says.

If you're not in a rush to order, wait until the Jan-Feb Auto shows. When i was considering the 05, the Ford rep at the Philly Auto Show last Jan told me a few things about the car. With all the rumors that were floating around, his info was the most concrete (estimated pricing, apx. release date, features, etc...)

Don't rush a new car purchase. You will regret it, and probably will be second guessing yourself for the rest of your life.

look at every car & they always add more options or group them together. There won't be anything that you can't add later and trust me on this ...the enjoyment of being one of the few around town who has one now is so worth it. I've had new Corvette, Trans Am's, & Mustangs but I bought them all after the body style had been out for 5 or more years and there is nothing like having the new body style early on. I know know why people over pay. It for the feeling of everyone looking and talking to you about it.
