I Need Help!!!! 1992 Mustang Lx...2.3L

I bought a 1992 mustang lx, and the cylinder head got cracked because it got to hot. Well heres the question. Im tryin to buy a new cylinder head. But was wondering if the casting numbers off my old head, should match with the new head. thanks Jon

Not necessarily, just make sure they are visibly the same (both have 8 spark plug holes, same shaped intake and exhaust ports, etc.).

There are 2 different dual plug heads and 3 different single plug heads for 2.3's...
