I need help

I bought a 1992 mustang lx 2.3 and when you turn the key to run the fuel pump won't prime but if you hold it between run and start the pump primes the car will start and run like a top if you hold the key between run and start I picked up a RCM module from a junk yard but same thing replace fuel pump relay same, starter relay same, ignition cylinder, ignition module on the column same, the guy did go from electric windows to manual so he cut those wires but thats all he cut, whats got me is that when you let it fall to run it kills spark and all cause i've already jumped the pump to run constant and it starts but if you let the key roll to run it dies.

try the ignition switch sounds like a similar problem i had and my switch was bad only half of it was working lol

Check the ignition switch. On a Fox it is adjustable, as there are slots on the switch for the hold down screws.

If adjusting does not fix it, replace the switch.

You may want to trace the wiring from the eec relay and eec box to make sure it is getting powered in the start postion of the key before changing anything.
