i need pistons and rings!!!

whats agod site to buy them from? ive looked everywhere and cant find anything. ive looked on ebay, and googled some sites. i need them by this week! help would be greatly appreciated. BTW they cant be some cheap ass knock offs, and they must be STD. size. thanks guys

What's the intended use? Turbo, NA, nitrous, daily driver?

The 2.3 came in several forms, NA and turbo, and I would hate to recommend weak cast NA pistons when you intend on blowing 20psi of boost on them. That wouldn't end so well.

it will be daily driven. stock for now, but will see around 18-20 PSI someday. need something that will last, be tough, but good enough for street use. i want forged. i found some here but idk if this is a good route. can anyone tell me? the block is a standard bore. it doesnt list the standard bore size on this site

Those would work.. but they are flat tops. The turbo engines origionally got Dish pistons, for 8:1 compression instead of 9:1. Those pistons with a turbo head would put you around 8.7:1 compression... which is more than you'd typically be able to run 18-20psi at. You'd be luck to get past 15-16psi at that CR. Here are some dish pistons you might consider:

Speed pro/TRW seems to be making the std size dish pistons at the moment, so you could theoretically source them. Part number L2500F. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=TRW-L2500F-75MM&autoview=sku

I personally like the diamond pistons: http://www.diamondracing.net/
They are a bit lighter than the TRW slugs, with improvements in key areas. The top ring land is moved down a bit for a stronger crown and such. A set will run between 300-350$ which is a bit more, but I think they are worth it. I'm running these at the moment, and they were even able to sell me a single pistons after a rod mishap in one cylinder.

I wouldn't go with the Wiseco pistons in this application though. They certainly make a nice product, but for high boost applications, that piston is a bit too thin and light weight. The rings sit a bit higher for a thinner crown and the middle is a bit thin. I just don't think they are suited for the application.

As for rings, you could go with the turbo replacement chromoly rings from sealed power. A lot of people run them, but if you rattle the engine, it can let the chromoly flake off, leaving you with bad blow by.

Sealed power plasma moly rings (SLP-R-10515-30) summit part number, .030 over. They are file to fit, but they won't flake the surface coat off the first time you rattle on pump gas, and they are ductile iron.
