I need some opinions on the vortech s-trim against the sq-trim.

Guess it's different when your Mustang isn't your daily driver, but I for one love the fact that the S-trim is louder than the SQ. It's for sure a head turner on the street, and for sure when I pull into the weekend car show over here. It's not so loud that it can annoy you imo, unless you spend a lot of time idling, and once under load you can't hear it over your exhaust anyways...but peeps outside still certainly can! In terms of outflowing between the two, 10lbs and under, it's a matter of a few rwhp (5 at the absolutely most according to dynosheets I've seen with similar setups). Also, it's great to see all the weird faces peeps in the other lanes give when I pull up next to them, trying to figure out why the car is that noisey....

Im not aware of the difference of performace between these loud and quiet s/c's. But I do know that if you stand next to a V1 with the hood popped, you have to pretty much talk over the sound coming from the s/c. Get the car rolling and it goes away.

The V1 sounds like the one will get when I'm ready to get mine.(not for a while though )

i dont believe the v2 necessarily means quiet version. i may be wrong but i did have a blower on my car when i bought it that was the loud strim and it had v2 stamped on the casing. later on when i went with another blower a v1 strim it was just as loud but again had v1 on the case.

you are wrong. the V2 is the SQ "quiet" version. the V1 is the S trim.

i can't seem to find any quality audio clips to give me an idea how much louder the s-trim is. oh well. the car is not a daily driver. i think i will just ask what the majority opinion is at the modularpowerhouse shop and go with that.

well turns out modular powerhouse sent me the sq trim instead of the s trim i ordered, i guess i could complain but hell i think its cooler now that its a sleeper plus i guess im getting more power out of it since supposedly it outflows the s trim

Anyway mine is pretty quit, you can hear it at idle and up to about 2500 rpms you can hear a whistle but after that my exhaust covers up any sound from the s/c

SOOOO how does she run?!?!?!?!?!
