I need some REAL help guys...

Get a new cable from your local ford dealer... 40 or 50 bucks i think it was... Mine was worse than yours it sounds... I had to literally stand on the clutch (all 140 pounds lol) and jamb the shifter into gear. It got to the point where I had to shut the car off at stop lights and put it in 1st. If I left it in first at stop lights, running, it would start creeping into the intersection. Got a new cable and took me 20 minutes to install. Was like night and day. Good luck.

well that kinda sucks, I dont want to buy a new/different cable... Its got a fairly new Steeda Quadrant/cable that was installed with the tranny rebuild and clutch swap.

I know I may be a little rusty driving the thing... but I never felt like I was gonna break the back of the seat when Im driving it either... its definitely stiffer than it should be.

Yea, its been freezing here for about a month now... supposed to get into the 50's on thursday though..

I agree with you guys.. poonani before cars. But when one of ur cars is blown up and the other is a PIA to drive... and the poonani is 1 1/2 hours away... meh, just not worth it.

Either way, she said she is coming down here instead on friday.. :nice:

dude, youre ****ing stupid. Its cars before girls. Atleast for me. They are too expensive and too much of a hassle thats why I waste my money on cars instead of girls.

Umm... yea.. and if you think the stang isnt too expensive and a huge hassle then whos stupid here

1,800 for the blower vs same for ring
20 bucks in gas every 3 days vs 20 bucks feeding her whinny mouth
etc etc

thing is.. its about as long as it is wide and while my car might make me horny... it doesn't get me off... its more or less a tease.

ps. You statement is right in line with something a virgin would say.

definately change the cable. Mine was like that when i bought it and a cable swap fixed it right up. The previous owner just thought it was because of the KC clutch and the firewall was actually starting to crack through. i had to make a plate to keep it from getting worse :nonono:

Cable's about to break. When the cable starts to unravel it does that. I could hardly push the clutch in on the 89. MyBad70 put a cable in it and now it's like it was from the factory. Night and day.

PS: "I'm pretty today" :p

my clutch in my 86 is hard like that, always has been and then it broke, and even with a new cable it was still just as bad, only now that its been sitting for a while its even worse, so bad that if i let off it quickly the cable comes off the quadrant... good thing for cotter pins holding the quadrant on or it would never get fixed.

And I had the SAME problem with my 86 but it wasn't the cable, the clutch wasn't as bad as he's describing but it was bad. And I never figured out why it was like that

Strype, you're always pretty. :P

I bet mines about to break then...

:rlaugh:
