...WOW I've had the car 5 weeks, never got into races off the line with but today at the track I embarrassed myself. I bogged her out of the hole even at 4,000rpm my best run was 14.2@100mph so I know the power is there for high 13's...I just need to be less spastic. Unfortunately next time i go i'll have mods so i'll never see her potential stock but I have to practice my launching.

Same thing happened to me my friend. You posted a bit better time than mine, my best was 14.5 @ 97. I was either up in smoke or bog city.

Just keep practicing.

I've learned that side stepping the clutch at around 2500-2800 nets the cleanest launch (on street) for me. I've been waiting try it at the track again.

I just let off the clutch and floored it. First time was off idle, (super bog city), second was from 2,500 rpm (bog city again) 3rd was from 4,000rpm (slight bog). I would have been better off feathering the clutch as if I was coming off a red light. LOL

I found sliiping the clutch netted the best time for me. I ready the July '05 issue of Motor Trend where they said they dropped the clutch at 4000 grand and it netted them the best run of 13.5...... yeah about that..... didn't work so well for me. Super spin using that method. I don't know what the heck they were talking about. Anyway, I raise the RPM's to around 4000 grand, then I feather the clutch slightly, give it gas, slip it a little and give it full throttle. This method gave me a 13.667 if that helps. (And I have 3.31's)
