I'm not expecting many responses here but.........
I really don't want another car, the garage is full. I started a project a year ago, which was resurrecting my haggard 60k 00 GT after a 3-4 year sit outdoors, not moving once. It was the first car I've ever bought, I have had some great memories with her. She now runs great and has some fun power, I will be buried in this car. But I've hit a crossroads and need to make a decision before I take her to the next level, or buy a cobra convertible and mod that (still keeping my GT). I'm here in the so cal desert. I live in the sunniest area in the entire US and I'm dying for a convertible. I've done as much research as I can on what I can do to open up the roof on my car, but there is very little info to say the least. And the calls I've made to a few places have resulted in getting nowhere.
First I was thinking T-Tops....I actually saw some pictures of some 99-04 stangs that have em and I just don't think they look very appealing. I've also seen some with a removable targa top similair to a Supra, still not looking very good, or at least in the pics. Anyone seen either of these in person?
So the last thing that I can truly think of is converting the roof to glass that is removeable, leaving the arches between the trunk and hood above the side windows intact. Anybody ever seen anything like this or know of someone who may have these capabilities?
