My car stalled at the light a weeka ago and now it wont start! I've replaced the ignition module, the hall effect sensor, the CCRM, and the computer, I'm still not getting any pulse to the injectors or to the coil. I don't know what to do guys, the module is getting power, and so is the computer. help me! I've been driving a fereaking malibu for a week and a half, it's disgusting. :nonono:

i was poking around with the search button the other day, there is a good thread somewhere on here, concerning no start faults...sorry I can't link it to you, sure you could find it. BTW have you looked at all the fuses? good luck man

hmm, don't know where to start lookin for that thread. and yes I am getting fuel pressure, and my pump is priming, the issue is that the coil and injectors aren't recieving any commands. I don't understand why.

thats real weird that the coil AND the injectors both arent getting power... trace the circut on the injectors untill you find the spot that isnt getting voltage, thats my best suggestion and im sure youve done that already...is it throwing a code at all? too bad its not obdII or else that would be a lot easier to figure out

on foxes (not sure about SN's since you have a little bit different stuff), the PIP is responsible for injector 'timing' signals and static spark signal. i would recheck the PIP and its wiring.

good luck.

i know you did, but if you dont have spark or injector pulse, i would double check it and the wiring to it (the latter might not have been checked).

also, how do you know the injectors are not getting power? if an SN is like a fox, there is constant 12 volts to the injectors and the puter modulates ground to make them fire. a noid light is a good way to check if they are getting power and ground.
*I post generic info like that as i would be surprised if it is different for SN's vs a fox, but if it is, the SN guys can correct the info*.

good luck bud.

um I used a 921 light bulb and pulled the wires out a bit to stick them into the harnes, lights up, no pulse. my boss replaced three hall effect sensors before he got a car running once. I duno though.

whats a tfi?
one of my commercial customers is gonna lend me his breakout box so I can try to get to the bottom of this.
TFI = Thick Film Ignition. on an SN, it is on the pass fender - under the MAF, IIRC.

does the engine crank normally? i know it sounds stupid, but is the rotor turning? u did replace the pickup in the dist? if you did all that and it still is missing the spark and injector pulse its almost gotta be the tfi module- its fairly common for those to go out, but in my experience they usually restart after they cool down.

I have fuel pressure, oil pressure, compression. the motor turns over, and the rotor turns in the ignition. actually, you have to pull the distributor shaft to replace the hall effect sensor, so if it broke, I'd know.. and yes, I have replaced the ignition module, or Thick film thingy, whatever it is called.
