hey guys
i was installing my steeda quadrant when i mistakenly touched two wires under the dash and shorted something. Now my brake lights dont light up and my hazards and turning signals are out. I heard of this issue before and it seems like its a "flasher box" or something like that. Can someone PLEASE tell me where its located and if someone has a pic of it THAT'D BE AMAZING !!!

Thank you everyone at :SNSign:

PS- I checked the fuses and they were ok. Out of curiosity which fuse would it even be? (i just pulled them all out not knowing which one it could be)

i hate to be a pain, and i do appreciate the suggestion, but can anyone point me to this flasher box thing. I wont be able to sleep until i look at it and possibly replace it.

As far as the fuses go, which one is it that would possibly be causing this issue?

Fuse 9 is for the BOO and TS's. Fusebox diagram

I doubt you burned the flasher relay. One commonality for two brake lights and the turn signals is the multi-function switch (the turn signal switch). Check your brake lights again - if the middle brake light doesnt illuminate, the MF switch might not be your issue (because the 3rd light does NOT go through the MF switch).

Here's a lighting diagram

Good luck.

There's a decent chance your Brake light wiring is shorting to ground. Take a look at it (the switch is on the front of the brake pedal arm).

i had the brake light pedal on/off switch laying around & i replaced that last night ....so its deff not that

im leaning towards the flasher module mentioned above or if i shorted something what else could have popped other than just the fuse?? n why did the fuse pop again?? could a malfunctioning flasher box thing cause it to work for a few n pop again???

I HATE ELECTRICAL ISSUES

If you are not using your turn signals and it blows, chances are that the MF switch is fine.

The issue is almost always brake switch wiring that shorted (not the switch but the wiring. If the switch shorts, it just makes your brake lights stay on). Look for chafed wires around the pedal assembly.

i looked at all the wires and none of them r in the way
i replaced the blown fuse 9 for the third time and everything worked for about 15 min and then it blew again

Im gonna end up biting all these wires!!!
F***ing electric problems!

What are you doing to blow the fuse. I would do nothing but repeatedly hit the brakes to see if I can blow the fuse. If it won't blow, do nothing but use the turn signals. If it still wont blow, then hold the brakes and use the turn signals.

Doing differentials like that helps narrow it down.
