I have just a few ?'s about finishing up my carb'd motor rebuild. everything is together except for the intake, valve covers, and im missing a few bolts for the water pump.

I bought the edelbrock high flow water pump, and a buddy told me i didnt need to use sealant for the water pump... in all my other water pump swaps, i have used a sealant any advice?

Also, i have most of the bolts for it, im just missing a few... im going to the bolt place to get the rest today, anyone know about what length the rest of these are that im missing?

the same buddy that told me not to use the sealant has one, and one of the autozone radiators, says his never gets hot.... then again, he has an electric fan too.. something ill have to purchase later on... that water pump is a heavy mofo.

I use the grey stuff too. I always silicon at least one side of a gasket. Edelbrock makes a really good waterpump. You should be pleased. The Autozone radiator seems to work pretty well for the people here but for me, I would go aluminium.
