Ok so some dude locally is selling his SLP Catback system and his X pipe off his 2004 Mustang for $125 firm. I found it on another forum and he was originally asking like 200 something but then he offered it up for $125. I think Im gonna jump on this since I was just about to order a new SLP system for over $400. Plus I can get the x pipe with it for almost nothing! The only thing I dont know is if it is an SLP I or II but either way for 125 thats a steal and hes not even an hour away from my house. What do you guys think?

Bring your cash, go there and check it out. If it's in good shape, get it. If it's f...ed up, no big deal.

SLP is LOUD. Is the X catted? If not, it's going to be stupid loud and obnoxious. But that's just my opinion

I dont know why everyone complains about SLP being loud, I have and SLP LM1 that I also got for dirt cheap, coupled with my stock midpide and it souds really good. I daily drive the car and at 75MPH you can just barely notice the exhaust, but it does sound really nice when crusing the streets. Go get that deal man!! U dont have to put on the midpipe if its the LM1, or whatever its comes with, might be the powerflows as well, I got those too when I got my catback...either way go get it, you will be happy you did

I got my catback for $125 as well. Hell of a deal IMO, and you get an x-pipe with it.

I have a mac o/r h. I HATED the LM I's, but I like the LM II's. The II's are very deep, scream at WOT, and quiet enough when you want them to be. I have NEVER been pulled over for my exhaust if that helps.

The SLP fit and finish is also excellent.

Here are the pics of the catback and x pipe the x pipe is a catless x pipe made by Pypes.

Doesnt look dinged up or anything. Funny I was the first and only person to reply to this ad. Then like 2 hours later some other guy told the he was gonna buy it and throw it on ebay after. Hopefully the seller gets back to me soon because If I can get his adress I would drive up there tonight. I sent him two emails already.

It's going to sound like a boat. You're pretty much running a stock exhaust set-up with no cats, no mufflers, and a glasspack. But - the price is so cheap you can at least try it and if you don't like it - relist it.

SLPs only become obnoxious when there are no cats. With the stock H-pipe it will be fairly quiet

Well regardless I dont plan on running the x pipe anytime soon. My whole plan was to get ans SLP LM 2 catback with a stock midpipe. I still don't know if it is an SLP LM I or II in the pics but either way thats a pretty good price. The x pipe will just be a bonus for me.

key word there, your still running stock mid pipe. The LM 1s do sound good, as long they will stock mid pipe.

I would get them for that price. If the are the I's and you do not like them. You can always get the II's. they will be a direct swap.

The aspects people are pointing out are why he let it go for $125. That will sound like Satan with his balls in a vice......rehabilitating from a crack addiction.

I dont see the problems with SLP Lms. I know the LM I's sound like **** with an aftermrket midpipe but I plan on running them with a stock midpipe anyway. The LM IIs are a really good sounding exhaust in my opinion because unlike the LM Is they are not just a hollow can. Thats why Im hoping that they are LM IIs when this guy gets back to me with an email. But even if they arn't LM IIs $125 is a steal then I could just swap em out for some LM II mufflers later down the road.

The forum I found these in wasnt even a mustang forum it was just a local car owners forum and I think only him and 3 other guys on there owned mustangs. So he didnt get ANY offers from anyone except me. Turns out the seller sold his 04GT or whatever it was and picked up a Mazda 6 hence the reason why he took the exhaust off the car first.

i have a LM cat back on my car with bothsets of muflers. i liked it with stock manifolds and an OR x pipe. with the bassani headers and OR bassani X, i wouldnt think about putting the LM1's on it.

Ok guys I just picked up the catback with the x pipe today for $125 he also gave me two extra o2 sensors. Still not to sure if it is an SLP LM I or LM II. The guy said he was pretty sure it was a LM II because the pieces were interchangable. But Im pretty sure the LM I's had the interchangable resonators/mufflers as well. Does anyone know how to tell if the resonators are SLP LM I or LM II? I know if I put them on I will know just by listening to them. Regardless of what they are I don't think I will be using the catless x pipe he threw in anytime soon. I might just keep it as spare parts or sell it I don't know yet.

I tried to ask him if it sounded really raspy and kinda "poppy" sounding (which is a characteristic of the LM I) but he said it only sounded raspy when the car was WOT. Either way Im going to be putting the system on soon but I would prefer it to be a LM II but for $125 whos complaining?

If you can see straight through the muffler and there is noting on the inside you have the LM1's. The LM2's are a little like a glasspack they have stuff in the middle. I have the SLP LM1 with the Pypes Off road X and let me tell you it sounds pretty mean. I love the sound.

Thats a great deal since SLP is made out of full stainless. I would install it & if it sounds like crap (which i personally think SLP sounds like with no cats), you could always have a muffler shop weld in some other mufflers....Either way its still a killer deal for some quality parts....You could sell the X pipe for $100 by itself....

x-pipe's FTL!!! i hate the sound they make, I bought a MAC O/R H-Pipe and I love the sound, it's got that nice deep bass sound and in conjunction with the Flow 40's, sounds just about perfect.

I heard another guys X-Pipe on his stang, and I don't think it sounds nearly as good as mine.

but it's just my opinion.
