Thanks for all the imput guys. On a semi-related note does anyone know how many cats a 2002 mustang gt has? I have been told 4 and I have been told 6 but I don't know.
The difference between the LM1's and and the LM2's are the 1's have nothing inside, it's like an empty can. and the 2's have packing material in the outer part on the inside of the muffler. They are still both straight threw. But the 2's have the sound deading material in them. You can look on SLP's website and I think it has pictures of what each muffler looks like inside.
Ok just took off the clamps on the resonator and the little slits at the ends of the mufflers run along the sides of the resonator under the SLP logo as opposed to being on the top and bottom like the SLP LM Is looks like. Looks like its confirmed they are infact LM IIs. They are also fatter like the LM IIs are which Im assuming is because of the packing material inside as opposed to the LM Is which are kinda long and skinny.
I also cleaned up the piping and mufflers a little bit but didnt go too crazy since they are going right back under the car soon. But I did polish the tips with NeverDull and buffed em with a shammy. There are a few nicks in the tips but it was still a hell of a deal.
x-pipe's FTL!!! i hate the sound they make, I bought a MAC O/R H-Pipe and I love the sound, it's got that nice deep bass sound and in conjunction with the Flow 40's, sounds just about perfect.
I heard another guys X-Pipe on his stang, and I don't think it sounds nearly as good as mine.
