Well, I hate to say it, but I think my time behind a 5.0 is coming to a close. My car's body is so rotted, it isn't worth the money to fix it up. My motor has 150k on the bottom end, and is starting to burn oil like the iraqi army on the run, and everything else on her is getting tired. I think once I graduate from nursing school next month, I'm going to get my hands on a nice 99-04 GT and start again. I'll be able to use my new 18"s from an '06 GT, my gauges, my springs, and the rest of my suspension stuff, and hopefully my 3.73s in my rear end. The rest, like my cervini's kit and top end of the motor, I'll part out. I guess it's a whole new world of learning, seeing as I've got the 5.0 stuff down pretty good. I just like the modern ammenities of the new edge, the ability to use bigger wheels without fender clearance, and the other advantages to a newer car. I'm an autocrosser, so the wider track is nice too. I feel like half of my recent mods, like a 5 lug swap with rear disc, an electric fan, and others are all just bringing in stuff I'd get with a new car anyway, and it'd be factory equipment and not something I have to customize to the car. Maybe one day I'll find a nice fox and go back at it, but I think for now a modular is gonna be in my future. Bring on the flaming lol....but I will miss my old pushrod power...
