Are you set on a big displacement engine? There are tons of 331 and 347 stroker setups that could hit 500whp with forced induction. I say go Turbo!

VERY TRUE. . . everyone has their own way of getting that much power. There are 3 main routes that people take to make this kind of power. 1st: 302 based stroker (306,310,325,327,331,342,347) and a power adder of sometype, although they can make in NA. 2nd A big windsor stroker with bad ass head/cam combo, forced induction of some type or both. 3rd: a 385 series motor Ex: 429, 460 type motor with a decent set of heads or cam/forced induction, the downfall to the 385 series motors i see in a fox is WEIGHT and most of them i see are coupled to a C6 to make weight issues worse. Pick your poison, no matter which route you take plan on spending money

For practicality purposes and also to meat your goals, i would go with a 302 based stroker engine, either 331 or 347, and go with a turbo setup. The reason i say turbo is with a supercharger, you have all the parasitic drag from spooling the supercharger. Plus I personally love the feeling of going through the RPM's and feeling the boost really kick in.

Heres a link to pics of my big block fox in another thread:
http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=646786

If i had to do it all over again i would have made my motor even bigger, next time it comes out its going to become a 545 or 557 stroker, setup for boost with an even better shortblock, still about 10:1 compression.

Im crazy....... And i love the torque, and not having to wait for boost.......

Currently starting to make the old 5.0 into a 331 setup for a centrifugal setup or single turbo (haven't decided) and going into a ford festiva or something stupid like that.

Once you ride in a big block car, you will be hooked.
