I wouldn't sweat it. I seriously doubt they will vote, much less lead.

i have a great example of the difference between ricers, and us, i always pass ricers and they rev there cars to like 7k as they pass me, i guess they think there cool , on my way to work today, i see a new edge saleen coming toward me on a 2 lane road. as we passed each other he waved at me, i did not know him, i never even saw him before, its was just because we were driving stangs

yeah... its kinda like the jeep wave. you see the stickers that say "WAVE BACK OR RETURN YOUR JEEP" i do it every time i see a mustang. if i see a high end mustang though( saleen, cobra, roush)... i will definately rev up at 'em!

Its the same way with my dad also,he's a biker....Harley style, and everytime he passes another cruiser style bike they have this specail wave....hold your hand out towards the ground...kinda like a reverse hile Hitler thing.Bikers and muscle car nuts all seem to have this respect, but these kids in the ricers just wont show this ssame respect.....why?...

every saturday night the local dragstrip here would hold grudge races starting at midnite, or as soon as the regular nghts racing was over. the ricers wouldnt show for the regular racing but they would come out in droves for the grudge matches, starting fights, gettin drunk and racin through the pits which was a real nightmare when the regular nights racing ran long. this year they are only gonna get to do it about once a month which should still be twice as often as they get laid

I don't see the need for them to rev their car at me while at a stop light or in the parking lot. Last night I was putting groceries in the trunk and this Jetta with a fart pipe drives by me and doesn't just give me a little rev but about five 4000 rpm revs like I'm going to be impressed. I didn't even look at him but just shook my head.

Ive always wondered how people got to be like that and how they would think that others thought they were cool? Bad parenting?

I've also noticed that the ricers with nothing more than a fart tip like to rev on me or take off WOT. I understand that different people like different sounds but nothing sounds as good as a V8 rumble (well except maybe a V10). The fart tips are the most annoying sound ever IMO.

Honestly, some asian import cars sound good...nothing like a V8 but have a nice sporty/raspy note. I've yet to really hear a good sounding honda though. 350z/G35, Supra, Rx-7, EVO, WRX....that's about all I know. Obviously the exhaust itself makes a difference on these cars....some horrible some good. Same with V8's, some V8's sound like crap...it's sometimes on the engine itself and sometimes on the exhaust choice.
