I recently installed a BBK intake on my 03 GT. During the install, for the life of me I coulndn't find the IAT, so i just covered the hole in duct tape. On Sunday I went to drag day and compared my car to a friend's 99... mine appears to not have an IAT, as nothing comes off the wiring loom in the same spot as on his.

Is this normal for an 03? Did they elimiate it or combine it with the MAF? If not, should I go to Ford about this?

I believe they combined them with the MAF on the 03.

I believe they stopped putting the IAT sensor in the intake tube on the 01 models. I know my 00 has one, but I was informed that the 01-up stangs don't have them in the same position. It is combined with the MAF.

on the late 01+ cars the iat is built into the maf sensor. if you look at the plug in for the maf then you will notice it has more wires.
