If you "acquired" a GT500 would you sell the 5.0

So what would you do just like it said. If you were given not buy a brand new GT500 would you keep your trusty 5.0 or sell it and go nuts.

I am have been asking myself this in my head all day and I cant say yet that I would sell the 5.0 even though selling it would free up a few grand for mods to the GT500.

Just wondering what everyone has to say...
Could be a GT500 or an 03/04 Cobra. Since I have two 5.0s I would get rid of one in a second. Most likely the '90. Yes it has alot of time and sweat into it but it also has by far the most miles (wear & tear).

That would be a hard one for me...

Sell the GT500 and do a ground up performance restore on the 86

--or--

Use the GT500 as my DD and slowly rebuild the Fox.

One thing is for sure though...
Fixing up the Fox with GT500 money would be sick!

Fully and professionally tuned MM suspension
HUGE Brembo Brakes
Twin turbo
One off custom interior
$10,000 paint job
Custom molded chin spoiler
6 Speed
Professionally installed, hidden roll cage
Full undercoating
Pristine engine bay
... and a custom cup holder!!!!!

I'm sure that the list would go on.

I'd sell both of my 5.0's in a heartbeat. I still like foxes, and don't even know much about the newer stangs, but I know that the Shelby is worth probably 10x what both of my cars are worth put together. I'd either sell the Shelby and put the money down on a house or invest it OR store it in a bubble for the next 30-40 years and sell it when I retire for some major bones (probably be safer to sell it now and invest the money - definitely more earnings potential).

I'd still have my truck and I'd prob. get another fox to play around with.

I still cant answer my own question.

Okay let me clarify the scenario alittle better. Your a college student (meaning no time for a job), ur fox is falling apart (it seems like it), it still needs at least an HCI and a shot of juice for you to be happy with power, and you have alittle money in savings that was planned for the fox, and then a family friend/ or you win a contest and you get a Brand new shelby with even the car insurance paid for the first year.

I would probably keep both or possibly sell the shelby. I really don't know, however the lx has way too much family history and sentimental value for me to let it go. The only way itd be let go is if it was total lost, and I would be a very sad man if that happened. Probably cry for weeks.

Shelby ( the man) is kind of a punk ass these days anyway. I'd play with it for a while and then sell it for cash to do whatever I want to the 86. I'm glad there are so many people on here that would sell it and use the cash on the fox. That's why I love this place.
