I'm probably going to rebuild my stock Trac-Lok this weekend and I was wondering if there needs to be any break in time for the clutches before I really start hammering on it since the track opens next weekend? Do they need a similar break in time like the tranny clutch does?

Thanks

Nope, no break in period necessary on your posi clutch packs. As long as the installation is correct, you're good to go. Don't forget to put in some friction modifier (available from your Ford dealer for @ $5.00) and drive it around in a tight circle both ways about 10-15 times to work everything together and off you go! :nice:

This may be a bit late, but soak the clutches in the fricition modifier for about an hour - man, is that stuff stinky. I had absolutely no chatter, no break-in necessary. The biggest part of the job is getting that S-spring back in.
