Man, I am tired of the Stang. I mean it used to be fun to drive, now it seems like everything is going wrong. I never was able to get the turbo engine running right. My hood latch on the fiberglass hood broke, then i temporarily fixed it and before I had a chance, it broke again, but this time the secondary latch didnt catch it and the hood destroyed my windshield and the smashed whole cowl area where the wipers go, and cracked the hood. Now I can only have 1 wiper on the car cuz the other one wont move right. My idle is sometimes all the way up at 3k and other times the car wont idle at all. I am 99% sure its the IAC when the turbo's blew and put some oil through my throttle body. When I shift, there is some type of hollow metallic sound under the car. I'm kinda scared to diagnose this one. I dunno what I'll find. The n/a manifold wont fit on the turbo engine properly b/c of the oil return line so it has this lawnmower sound. When I work about 52 hours a week, its hard to have time for the girl, friends, family, pets, video games, and the car. I just want something else so I dont have to deal with this stuff. Give me normal maintenance any day.

Believe me, I got the same way. Its when you hang with it that you see the Big picture.

You have discovered the biggest problem with a rolling project. Mine was off the road and became a trailor queen until I got it right. Now its driven to the track while I trailor the V8 car for a while.

You can make more time for yourself using the following methods.

1. Have a garage and another car to drive. (I have 5)

2. Get the girlfriend interested and build a living room at said garage.

3. Invite friends over to either educate them in autos or ones who know already and can lend suggestions.

4. I can't help much with the family. My family has no interest in cars therefor I never see them.

5. Dont bring pets to my garage because my warehouse rats are bigger than any pet you might have.

6. Sorry video games are for the living room of the shop which I don't get to spend any time in.

I'm probably gonna get my mom's 99 Cougar off of her later on this month so thats the other car I'll have, but I live in an apt and cant work on the car here. My mom and sis are moving to London so thats why I get her car, now we dont have a house in this area for a garage. The girl is interested in cars, but not in trying to fix up this one. She's more into fixing up a car thats running pretty good. Then there is a thing called MONEY. She has an 04 Mazda 3 that she pays for, her insurance, and her cell phone, not to mention 2 loans she has out. All my money goes to rent, food, bills, entertainment, and maybe a little to the car, but not really anymore. I'm just gonna save up money for a while and see what happens.

I stopped sleeping sometime in '02 and I've had plenty of time for everything since.

LOL :rlaugh: :rlaugh:  my thoughts exactly. shift work and military teaches one to not sleep much. Especially if one wants to get car stuff done. however their do end up days that I dont feel like doing ANYTHING. I got 4 cars here with me that keep me busy enough. not to mention all the freinds and freinds of freinds that need help with their cars or computers.

LOL
