Alright, I need some input. My PI intake (plastic crossover) just cracked, and I'm considering the Edelbrock intake.

A few questions for those in the know:

What plenum adapter (and how much $?) would you suggest? Would you suggest going with a complete bolt-on upper plenum (again, how much $?) instead of a spacer?

Will this intake work with stock fuel rails, if not, how much were aftermarket rails? Which ones fit?

Does this clear the stock hood, and if so, how much? I also have my nitrous plate that I need to squeeze on there, and I'm afraid it will not fit.

Any other info on the swap would be excellent. The intake is overkill for a stock cam and heads car, but it would work excellent with the nitrous.

dont use the adapter plate, it honestly does not work well at all, its make the 4 corner cylinders rich.

6061 plenuim is $225 from MHS, i have seen people make the stock rails work, all it take is a few brackets to mount the rail to the intake, im not sure if it would clear your stock hhod, but if you did go with the 6061 plenuim, your nitrous plate WILL NOT work because on the carberator style 4150 opening, you would have to go with a carb nitrous plate.

here is mine with the 3848 eddy plenum, its a monster!! plus you can use either a ls1 or 2 or 5.0 style throttle body.. i drilled and tapped my intake for the stock rails, and it works great. make sure you at least have a 3" cowl, i had to cut a hole in my hood for it to fit.. and make sure you move up the revlimiter up about 500 rpms, it will need it.. all in all i love mine, it makes assloads of power in the upper half..

Thanks for the quick replies fellas... looks like it's not going to work for me with the nitrous and plenum issues.

I'd be in over a grand when all said and done between the intake, adapter route or new plenum and throttle body route, and a hood.

I agree it's by far the best looking 2v intake out there. Nitrous is also a big reason I wanted to get some info on it.

No 180* bend in the runners, and it's metal. It'd be awesome for nitrous, but I'm going to stick with a stock PI for now.

hey 98, ill be heading to psl on tuesday evening...theres a possiblility i might throw the back seats in the car and take it there..if i do ill shoot you text and maybe we can meet up or something
