With my set up are my 19lb injectors sufficient?

Explorer Intake
BBK 75MM TB
Trick Flow Elbow
ported & polished E7 heads
bbk shorties
crane 1.6 rr
TFS1 Cam

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Dry or Wet?

Dry: I would go with 36#'s

Wet: I would go with 24#'s

This should be safe for both. IMO I would put 24's in even w/o the nitros.

I'd say they are at the limit

Look at the Cobra and consider what size injs Ford felt was wise

Especially when you consider the small OEM pump and you are running
those tiny 19's at OEM pressure

I'd get a large intank pump in there for plenty of volume

Yes ... you won't peg the OEM meter with that combo.

They won't have any trouble doing what you ask about.

again ... I'd not sleep good at night with the tiny OEM pump

What size fuel pump should I go with? I was looking at 155 or 190lph.

Basically, I have 300bux to spend should I go for 24lbs and a 155lph, adjustable fpr and possibly a cobra maf since it is cal'ed for 24lb...

or

Go ahead and get my car tuned for the cam and set-up I have now and buy the fuel upgrades piece by piece, the only down fall is it will cost me 50bux to get the chip re-cal'ed for the injectors.

The only reason I want to get it tuned now is the injector timing with the tfs1 cam, is it normal for my gas mileage to drop 100miles a tank just with the cam swap? I went from 300miles a tank to barely 200miles a tank? What timing should I be running with this cam?

I don't really fell the difference I thought I would with the head and cam swap.

I'd go all the way up to a 255lph ... a 190 will work for most NA combos
but you can have a bit of reserve for just a few bux more.

There is no difference between the GT & Cobra meter as they are the
exact same meter.

Also neither of those meters are caled for ANY size injector as Ford does
not do that kind of thing. I won't get into a long drawn out explanation
about this as we've covered it many times before but I just wanted to
give you a heads up about it.

I can't say for certain but I suspect you may have something like a vacuum
leak or other issues from the h/c/i project.

Also ... since you now make more power ... driving around town will use
more gas. Now out on the open road ... You should not notice that much
difference.

As for inj timing ... the only way I know to optimize it is to gather data for
a baseline. Then based upon that baseline data ... you make changes ... and
may have to repeat the process several times.

Go with the 190 or 255lph pump, especially if you're considering adding nitrous. Whichever kit you choose (wet or dry) will need the reserve that the bigger pump has. I'd honestly save for a bit before doing any more upgrades, however. Injectors alone will eat that $300 and then some if you're looking at new ones, and you're still talking about getting a tune, which is probably in the neighborhood of $500 in itself. You can keep your factory MAF with the larger injectors though. The Cobra MAF is calibrated exactly the same as the GT meter. It's the same part. The calibration for the injectors is done in the EEC by the factory, not by tricking the EEC with a different MAF.

Edit: Damn that Grady and his fast typing...

could my gas mileage be associated with taking the smog and egr off? The tune i was looking at was only going to cost me about $350. $269 for the sct 4 bank and then $75 for dyno pulls to see what my a/f ratio is for each burn and then they will rebrun the chip for free, just cost me $5 to ship it back to them.

Probably looking at used injectors so $100-$125 for new fuel pump, $100 for used injectors and $75 for new adjustable FPR

Also debating just do the fuel mods and then save for a tweecer r/t.

I do have a small crack on my drivers side header, how much will this effect my performance

i wouldn't even play around with a 190lph pump, just get the 255 right off the bat. i firmly believe in only buying parts once. if your thinking of nitrous now, once you get it a 75 just won't do and you'll want to do a 150 and you'll be kicking yourself that you didn't get the bigger pump first time round.

as for the tune, i would wait and get the fuel upgrades first then do a tune. again following the do it right the first time rule. 24# should keep you for a while.

yeah I was looking and the 255 is at most $20 more than the 190, so def going to get a 255 and some 24lb injectors and would I need to go ahead and install an adjustable fpr when I put in the fp and inj or would my factory do until I add Nitrous? How rich will I run with the 24lb injectors with out a tune and stock MAF?
