yeah i got a problem.. after i took of my fenders off i saw that where the fender bolts on the top of the inner fender it is rusted out bad and has huge holes in it :damnit: .... so i was thinking about making a custom molded sheet metel cover for it and just put it over it and weld it in place.. then just drill holes in it to mount the fender.... any body think this is a good idea or is their another way to fix this.. also what gage metal should i use...

We replaced the inner fender aprons-that should resolve that issue for you, as the top of the aprons is where the fenders bolt on.

Not too bad, the worst part for us was that we had to replace the pass side shock tower also. It should look factory after. They're pretty cheap too-I think about $20/each (theres 4 of them-2 per side). It's probably easier with the motor out (we had to pull the motor anyway, it was junk) because you have a better angle on welding them back in (you can get right into the engine bay)
