Installed 17x8 mach 1s, but can i change front fitment?

Hey everyone,
I just put on a set of ford racing mach 1 17x8s, with 225/45 front and 275/40 rears. It looks good, but i feel that i have too much fender gap up front now. I previously ran a 215-65 on a 15x7, and they were taller, so the gap was filled more. With the 1 inch adapters, the rim is pushed out to the edge of the fender. I have about 1.25-1.5" gap, and id like to lower it. I have MP 620 1" drop coils with 1 coil cut, but a 1" thick spring seat because it was too much. Im currently running 1 deg. neg camber, with stock uca locations.
So Id like to know if i can move the tire inward to clear the fender if i drop it so it doesnt hit on bumps. Right now it looks like it will clear, but lowered it may grab the fender. It seems that i cant use a thinner spacer, so what do i do?
thanks a lot
