Not to rain on your parade but i see a couple problems here.
First, you used cheap gauges that i wouldnt count on any better than stock, too much work for cheap gauges, i would have saved for the autometers or some nice stewart warner gauges.
Second, the port in the rear of the lower intake will not give an accurate temp.reading, your better off using the front port where the original is, then moving your stock sensor to the rear port, that way the stock sensor works, but your gettin the most accurate measurement for the non stock/ proff. gauges.

Thirdly, get rid of that poly/plastic line asap, some guys use it and have no problems but why cheap out? Get the copper line and do it correctly.

Fourthly, where you drilled the hole and shoved the tubes through, doenst look like it has a grommet, the metal edge will wear through that line in no time and you will have 40lbs of pressure of oil squirting your shoes.lol.OR hot antifreeze.

mechanical temp gauges dont run antifreeze into the car. it has its own probe and it runs through a copper tube, there is no coolant running through it.

In addition to what was said above the small oil tube is ran through a thick nylon encasement that will protect the thin tube. The grommet I can add.

As for the gauges they are better than stock and will be accuret enough. Sunpro gauges have been around for a very long time and even though they are considered Cheap. They ar decent gauges. Yeah they are not autometers. I have had autometers a complete florida 50 set up in my 91. They are good gauges but you pay for the name. I have had all kinds of gauges and Sun/actron are not junk.

Furthur Its a daily driver not a race car. And coolant temp is coolant temp. The front sensor is in the same exact water jacket as the rear.It may be a few degrees diffent in parts of the engine but one spot over another dosent make that much differnce. The place I am in is good for an average water temp.

I personally wouldn't run oil through a nylon tube. It's not physical damage i am woried about but the hot/cold cycles of the oil weakening the nylon causing it to fail one day.

I would run braided line, or at least copper tubing and play it safe.

Question...how is the air flow through the vents now? Does it still blow strong?

I tried to find copper line and napa didnt have it. So I bought the autometer nylon tubing as it was stronger than the sunpro tubing. I plan to change it out later to a braided line when I have the extra $ Those are not cheap.

At first the air flow was not good. Then after looking at it, I took my tin snips and cut the bottom of the air duct and folded it up. This made more room for the gauges and lines and it helped direct the air into the vents. I left a 2 inch open area on each side of the duct right where the new vents are. This guides the air right into the vents and it moves alot more air now.
Hard to explain but it worked.

Heres a basic diagram Keep in mind the air will come out all around the black but air takes the path of least resistance so it mostly comes around the folded up duct .

I didnt know they made them with no vents. I like having the vents. When you get the one like mine you have to cut up the stock vent louvers and make a small set to install in the cage. It was a PITA!!

Yours look nice. I went with black so they would look more oem, not that a gauge cage looks oem but Im sure youknow what I mean.....

I added a protective sleeve made out of rubber hose and incased the 2 lines at the firewall to protect it from rubbing.

i found that one i ebay... i went with no vents just because i dont have A/C... if i run heat i run it threw defrost anyway... doesnt get too cold in fl

Thats cool. I like my new set up. I am glad I painted the rings black too. I was driving it today and I am liking it.

I'm thinking the triple cage. I don't run the a/c any more either( it's infact deleted) and in the fall before storage the heat is run on defrost, car see's no winters. I like the looks of the full triple cage.

5.0Droptop I hope you can upgrade to braided lines, it would be the best fail safe way to go. autometer has a braided kit for gauges and jegs/summit has them. still nice job though.

I have my old converters on ebay and I have a bid of 100.oo plus shipping.

When they sell I am going to find me a braided line for the oil pres gauge.
I have ac and plan to run it. Plus I only wanted the oil/water so I went the way I did. 3 gauges look perfect though!!
