Im starting to hate this now...

I just finished installing 24LB Injectors w/ Granatelli 77MM MAF, BBK Fuel Pressure Regulator, Performer Intake and a PAXTON SN-89 Series Charger w/ FMU -

1st when i started it up.. I had a hue fuel leak from injectors not proprerly installed... Fixed it and re used same gasket of the intake ..

2nd i started up the car.. Hear a loud whining sound, this is not from the charger and is coming from the upper intake.. Everytime i press down on the intake the sound dissapears... Sounds a loud cat meowing....

3rd - My idling is wayyy high....when i start up the car after 10-20 mins of being park.. The rpm stays @ 1300 then drops to 1000 then to 700....

Now my main stress factor.........

I dont feel any boost or power from the charger.. The charger worked fine in my buddies car and boosted @ 8PSI...

I havent set my timing to 8* and havent changed the stock spark plugs.... I also havnt tuned the regulator....

What is causing all this mess? Vaccuum leak?

Lets see who can figure this ***** out!! :bang:

definetly some kind of leak. Closely inspect the seal between the intakes to make sure u didnt accidently crimp something between them (its happened before). Look hear and feel for any type of leak. Good luck, let us know.

the gsket should be fine as long as its not torn up, once you tighten down the intake, it should seal properly. Sounds like a leak somewhere. Have u tryed to drive it? Have u tryed to adjust your idle control on your throttle body? try those two, and let us know. It may just be actning weird at idle, take it for a quick spin, not hard, and get back.

Right, and check everything else too. Are you sure the TB gasket is set right? The damn things sound like a brewed teapot when they are off. You will also see idle flutter. Because the car runs I would guess it to be farther down the intake than at the TB. I would guess the manifold as well. You don't hear it on throttle because there is so much more flow the whistle fades as air gushes thru the leak.

OUT

Ok got the whistling figured out.. There is a leak from the upper intake gasket - Yes it was torn.. Im gonna work on it later... Whenever i put my fingure on the edge of the intake next to the thermostat the whistle would go away...... but idle doesnt drop @ all...

I also remember seeing the throttle body gasket was torn too but its tightended down hard enough for not to leak? Should i replace that also?

Hmmmm i guess i have to....

I'll keep posted..

Thanks
