Ok, I ordered some UMI Performance adjustble lower control arms and I can say they look amazing. Price was great to. I can not wait to get them installed, they look very serious. Anyways, as far as installed the adjustble lower arms, should I just measure the lenght of the stock arms and set the adjustables to that lenght for now? I am getting some of thier double adjustable uppers as soon as they come out, but for now Im going to put these in so I want to know about what I should take into consideration when working with the lenght adjustments. Here is a pic I took.

I would pick up some new bolts your stock ones are most likely nasty. I would start spraying them with a PB Blaster or similar spray to help get the nuts off, they can be a PIA.

While the arms are out I would do the TQ boxes, and fully inspect that area. If you are doing uppers I would replace the bushings that are in the housing.

They look very similar to a lot of the aftermarket arms, the old X2C arms were near identical.

Yes, I am taking it to a shop and they are welding my trq boxes with supports also. Yeah, I think I will get new bolts so they are fresh. Good idea rick. I helped a friend swap his rear in his 96, so I know all the steps, lots of pb blaster for sure. I just wanted to make sure there wasnt anything to specil about what lenghts I should adjust them to. Thanks

Set them to the stock length, measure yours I believe they are around 17.125"-17.375" stock.

How much is the shop charging you?

Well, lucky me for friends. A friend works at a garage with a lift, so they are letting me install them for free, he is going to help me. As far as the welding, he has welded my exhaust before, so doing my boxes isnt going to cost much if you know what I mean haha. But I got really lucky in having a friend that works in a garage where I can utialize the lift. :nice:

DEfinatly get new bolts. We live in the rust belt! I had to saw a few of my stock bolts off. What a PITA the install was. I also added Ricks reinforcement kit while I was there, they look/fit very well :)
