i already know what you are gonna say- go with one that makes bottem end . and you are right. red light to red light is where i want it anyway.
i just get told that the street heat will fall on its face after 4500-5000.
when i hear 'falls on its face' i think - no power just steady, stop pulling. i dont want that. now if it still pulls to 6 after 4800 but just not as 'stout' but still pulls, thats ok.
Rick obviously knows a great deal more than me on the subject, but I have a similar setup as you and recently moved from a Performer RPM to a Systemax. I have yet to get it dynoed and can't say much about the other choices, but in my experience, the Performer RPM was not enough of an intake. Just my 2 cents.
A bigger intake (parts) does not mean a loss in low end. I ditched my ported TFS street and Crane 2031 cam for "bigger" parts, a TFS 1 cam and RPM intake. My car gained 20 hp and 20+ lb/ft for the entire RPM range. Thats from 3000-6000 RPM.
I have a 302 with ported edelbrock heads BTW.
You have 3.90 gears and a stroker motor, grunt should not be a issue.
