Hey guys,
Thought I would post a few pics of the intake , 70mm tb and ford racing stainless shorty headers install today. The pics are not in any kind of order though.
Install went smooth and no problems. Definate hp imrovement in the butt-o-meter. Got to get it to the track and then on to the dyno in the next few weeks.
The Chinobra intake was rough upon arrival, but we ported and polished the intake runners. While we were at it, we port matched gaskets and even ported the intake side on the stock heads.

I didn't use locking header bolts lol....But I did put a 3/8 wrench in my center console to tighten them up every once in a while

Yep, we had to clean out the sensor hole threads also. I spent nearly a week porting and polishing and prepping getting everything ready for the swap.

I went ahead and spent the cash for the locking header bolts as I had read stories of people who were frustrated that didnt.

I guess next on the list will be...

msd
pulleys
e fan
mass air with 24lb injectors.

Thats what I hope anyhow.

Thanks guys.

The intake was purchased from blue oval industries. It was about $380 shipped.
From what Im understanding , ford racing stuff like this is now made in China and is extremely low quality. I knew that I was going to save money and put in the elbow grease and wrench time myself so I took the plunge.
If you are wanting to put this intake on your car I would suggest you look into a set of air porting tools to really make the ports flow.

The install took about 6 hours for the intake as we took several breaks. It was 96 degrees out and the heat really slowed us down.

The outside of the Cobra intake looks awesome, but the inside leaves alot to be desired upon arrival.

Thanks for the props
