Intake Manifold defect??

I just got my 2000 GT this april, and have been worried about the intake manifold.... I work at a Ford Dealership and constantly talk with the technicians. I have seen many 96-98's come in with cracked intake manifolds, and from what I am told, manifolds with plastic have a service bulletin on them regarding the likelihood of them cracking.

I have not seen any 99-04's come in with this problem, but looking at my manifold I see that it has the plastic. Has anyone with a 99+ had theirs crack? If so how much was the repair, or was it covered by ford?

I have seen only several posts on a few 99+ all plastic intakes cracking in the crossover. It appears that they much better than the 96-98s, but not all that, which is why I believe that they went back and improved it in the '02+ models with the aluminum crossover for the coolant. Only '96/97 stangs and various other cars and years are covered under the extended warranty for that part i.e. some t-birds/cougars and Grand Marquis.
