Intake manifold gasket cut-away..

I'm putting my intake back on and I've already cut away the excess gasket from the intake ports, but do I need to cut away any excess from the coolant ports?

There are two blue lines around the coolant ports. It looks like you could just follow and cut the inner line to allow for more coolant flow?

Is this the case or should I leave it alone?

Here's a clearer picture of what I'm talking about..

Any suggestions?

The gaskets were made that way for a purpose. When you tighten the intake down the manifold gasket slides down and makes it fit perfect. That is why you have to torque it like 6 times, and also why the gasket looks like it doesnt align.

You shouldn't have cut them. I don't think it will hurt anything that you did.

Oh yes, and don't trim the blue stuff.
