get two nuts and thread them onto the stud. then tighten the two together. then the one closes to the intake use that to loosen the stud to pull it out

For the studs, use two nuts tightened together and loosen it by the inside nut. Or you can try vise grips. The studs you put in might need to be really short since the lower front stud will hit the inside corner of the elbow adapter. I don't know about anyone else, but I made my own gasket for the adapter to the manifold and from the TB to the adapter. I used that $2 gasket sheet from Checker, you just trace it out and cut it.

holy crap, if I was away from the boards for a month and came back, you'd probably be asking about a T-56 swap and twin turbo installation tips on your new 347 or something..... You're moving quick! :hail2:

You can go to any auto parts store and ask for a intake gasket kit for a 5.0L Explorer or Mustang 5.0L Cobra. You'll get the intake to head and upper to lower intake gaskets. DON'T USE THE BLUE FOAM OR CORK GASKETS FOR THE FRONT AND REAR LIFTER VALLEY!!!! Instead use a thick bead of RTV (I used red RTV). Those gaskets came apart and leaked oil making me think I had a rear main seal issue when I really didn't.

We're doing an intake install on Sage2k's car tomorrow - he's a checklist I wrote off the top of my head - compare it to whatever you've got an let me know if I'm missing anything. :D
