Intake Manifold

in my 88 foxbody 5.0 it has an aluminum intake on the car but i have decided to do the classic gt40 build on the car and i have a few questions. the main one being i have quite tall valve covers and i was told id have to put a 1 inch spacer on the intake can someone give me a reference to what spacer i would need?

Google gt40 spacer or whatever intake you use.

You'll need an aftermarket hood with a 1" spacer. The intake will hit the underside of the hood with it on.

What valve covers are on there? WHy not sell those and get yourself some normal size covers. Pick up an Explorer 302 intake for $100-150 and sell off what's on there now.
