Intake Questions

In about a month if all goes well I should be getting my 04 GT, now I with my previous Mustangs the first thing I do is buy a K&N but I've been doing a lot of reading on the forum and it seems like Upper Intake, TB and MAF upgrades are pretty popular. So my question is if I plan on doing those upgrades should I be buying some kind of cold air intake or some inlet pipe or something instead of just a straight K&N? And what the best upgrades for intake stuff? Is intake a good place to start or is exhaust a better first upgrade? I don't want to run into a "oh I bought this and now it's garbage" kinda situation. Any suggestions would be awesome!

P.S. - Second to all of that if a supercharger (like a KB or Saleen type) was something for the future (but not for a number of years) would you still make these changes?

When I bought my S/C, the K&N and CAI went into storage as it is then irrellevant.

CAIs are virtually useless... If you want to do something before you S/C, then do the Plenum/TB upgrade and remove the air silencer from the intake box. anything other than that will be "wasted" money when you S/C.

Do a search on Accufab Plenum... there is a thread around here somewhere that links to a great article and research done by a member about the plenums. Good luck and welcome to the 4.6
