I have a 97 GT and the horrible intake manifold it came with and had the intake replaced by ford around 2000-01. I was just wondering if anybody knows which manifold was put in its place, a revised pre-pi version or the pi-intake? or if nobody knows, could someone describe the difference, (visually), of the 96-98 manifolds and the 99 up PI version. i'm lookin to do the pi intake converison if i dont have it, anyone know where i can get those adapter plates?(besides livernois) thanks to all.

. If the dealer installed your intake you have a stock non-PI intake. Do the PI intake, best bang for the buck along with PI cams and the stock tune works with both. I used the plates from unitedmajority.com,they were $100 but some folks say you don't need them. If you have an aluminum crossover on your non-PI intake just use it on the PI intake. Otherwise you will have to drill and tap a hole in the new PI intake crossover for the temp.sensor. Also, don't use a PI intake with a plastic crossover. You can PM me if you have any specific questions. Good luck.
