Intake tube for 3.5" OD MAF?

can anyone tell me the stock intake tube diameter, for an 89 maf equipped car? will it fit a 3.5" diameter maf?

i just bought a 77mm pro-m maf. guy said its a 3.5" diameter, i have a bbk cai now and its a 3" diameter at the maf portion.

if the stock intake tube works, ill go for that. otherwise, im thinking of getting a stepped coupler and just keeping this pos bbk cai tube? anyone else have this setup?

i did searches, cant find any diameter readings.

measured a piece of stock tube I had in the garage and it was 3"

ok thanks. i guess i will just flip the coupler i have on my bbk cai.

it is stepped slightly, so it should work.

anyone done similar? is there any issues with a 3.5" to 3" transition through a coupler? ive got an inline bullet style maf now from summit. the pro-m i got is the maf/filter in one deal.
