Intake ???

This brought up a question in one of the other threads, and I did not really see a reply.
Is there a thread or something that goes into detail about swapping intakes. Example going with an Explorer intake. Are all the Explorer V-8 intakes the same and will work on our cars? What if any are some modding that is needed to be done to make them work??
What is an ATC? I"ve heard of a CTS (coolant temp sensor).

I guess I'm looking for the book =intake swapping for Dummies:D:(?

If we go with a complete set from 50resto that comes with upper, lower, t/b, egr spacer and gaskets. Do you just unbolt the existing and put this in it's place?

If you go with the complete set, do you need to get a larger intake boot to fit the T/B? Or reuse the old. If the old is reused, then just the opening of the T/B must be bigger??

Any help on this would be great. Thanks guys

since i dont drive my car in the winter here is what i did. re located the ACT sensor into the air intake tube. should be good for a "little" better performance as it will read the cooler air temps before it gets to the intake and add a little fuel.
as for the CTS i went and got a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer and put this were the line to the heater core went from.

only other things is there are a few things that will have to be capped at the explorer lower dose not have them like the stock ie. the coolant lines going to the EGR spacer. and a few vacuum lines that are on the explorer upper that the mustang dose not have them for.
