What are people using for the interior panel paint. I am talking about the fiberglass panels in the back? There is a spraypaint that MU lists below, but at $10 per can, that can add up quick. I am curious as to what others are using and how it turns out. If you used something else from a local store like wally world, please let me know what brand and if it is semi-gloss, semi-flat, satin, etc. Thanks all.

I bought some cans of lacquer spray paint at NPD for about $8:

The panels look good. I'm now trying to find some lacquer primer to do the dash.

I'd suggest reading up on spraying lacquer out of a rattle can. I researched it here:

http://www.briansmodelcars.com/tutorials/tutorial.asp?TutorialID=12&CurPage=1

Concerning the above link, I'm not sanding between coats or afterwards, because of the grain on the panels. I will with the metal dash. It's helpful to know how long to wait between coats and about mist coats and wet coats. Makes a big difference in the result.

There's a fine line between a great job and a disaster, as I've learned.

Krylon Fusion, wally world, I used a semi or low gloss black, excellent results, clean with acetone first, I think this is the key to making it stick

Evil,

Do you have any good close up pics of the panels that I may be able to see? I like your idea and is much less expensive. Thanks for the info and I would love to see some pics. Also, I went on the Fusion website, and the available finishes are gloss, flat or satin. Do you remember what you used? Thanks.
