Can't seem to find a link how-to in what it takes to swap a 87-90 interior /w steering wheel into a '86GT. Might be acquiring one for free in a couple of months (it has t-tops!) but the interior has totally been eaten by mildew, dash is cracked, etc.

What's it take to swap in an interior? Anyone got a link I could reference? Thanks!

I think it's a real pain in the ass to swap the dash and related hardware...not sure about the door panels. You'll also need to consider the options the '86 has as well (power locks, power windows?)

A non-airbag steering wheel SHOULD bolt right on, I dunno about the airbag wheels...might be better off just picking up some aftermarket wheel, the factory ones are kinda ugly anyway.

It should be as easy as unbolting and rebolting stuff back in. The only deal will be if the 86 has power windows you'll have to extend the wires for the controls. Cause the newer fox's controls are on the arm rest and the 86's are on the lower portion of the doors. peace

Dash bolts in differant at windshied. Notice that when had a 89 and 86 apart. Wiring maybe differant also in this area. Also duct work on heat/ac may be differant. On the power windows look at wiring maybe a harness separate so you swap it out. I not sure of this.
