I am thinking about putting an interior from a 94up car into a 91 hatch. I have seen an 85 on ebay with this same swap. The dash and console and seats all were hooked up in his car. Has anyone done this, seen it done, or know how to perform this swap? Or if it will even work at all without serious modifications? Any help would be much appreciated,

cj- yes, the seat should bolt right in. However, at least some of them are the power adjustable ones, and you may not be able to make that work without some wiring.

Back to the main topic: it can be done, it has been done, and it is a huge PIA. There is a lot of fabrication and modification of the parts, the bolt in points, and that isn't even beginning to discuss the wiring. Unless you are very proficient at this kind of custom work and intimately familliar with both cars, interiors, and electrical systems, do not attempt this project. It isn't a bolt in deal, and it'll take awhile. I've never heard of anyone completing it in less than months, and only seen one that was actually finished and everything worked. Unfortunately, the interior swap was the only part of that car he finished, the engine and body work were in rough shape. He was so fed up with working on the car by the time he finished the interior that he sold the project without doing the rest.

Correct - seats are easy.

Entire Interior: tough! I've talked to people with first hand experience in this, and they've had to make custom inner door panels and brackets, electrical harnesses, and trim the dash and door panels to even fit in the first place.

Good luck :stick:
