Intermitten Ping????

I get random pinging under load acceleration anywhere between 3,5K - 6K RPM noticable in 3 or 4 gear.
I have tried playing with my tuner, Timming and WOT ect.

I have been having this problem for quite some time and can't get rid of it so any comments would be useful???

sounds like detonation issues i would check into the plugs...i have been hearing of alot of problems with plugs blowing out of the block...

How much did you advance the timing, and what octane are you using?

Plugs have been changed a couple of months ago and we had no problems with me being blown out ect.. In fact I am running NGK TR5 if I remember correctly.

I run top pump Octane ratting "92" I can get up hear in Seattle area.

I will have to check but I belive we left it set at -6 from DS Performance tune.
I have tried to back the timming out in DS Tuner in small steps but the ping always pops up.

The weather do not seam to affect it too much either, although it seams to do it a little more when air temp is hot.

It even does with Stock factory tune in, we thought we could tune it out with DST.

Strange thing is I can labor the engine i.e. like 5 gear at 1500 RPM and punch it to the floor and the car will not ping?
so it seams related to fuel/RPM starvation or timming but timming so far has not done any thing.

Anymore comments would be great thanks for your help so far.
