Since i restored my mustang there has been a consistent, intolerable squeek coming from the driver's side door. I believe it is somehow related to the window mechanism because a) there isn't much else in the door that could squeek, as far as I know and b) it only squeels when the door is up (more than 20% up or so).

Beyond that, it sounds like its coming from the upper half of the door, and in general, if you're driving down the free way and hear it, adjusting the window up or down a bit (but not fully opening it) will stop the squeel for a few seconds, but it always comes back.

I'm gonna tear into the door tonight, what should I look for as the primary culprits? Will it probably require replacing some things or just re-lubing, etc?

It's impossible to say what exactly is squeaking without a visual inspection. With the door panel off try and simulate some motion in the door and see if you can pinpoint it or drive around with the panel off until you do. Other than that just coat every moving and interactive or rubbing part with some lithium grease, that should silence it.

Might also be a good time to consider adding some sound deadening material to the doors as well.
