i'm wondering if I can feal a difference if i added a strut tower brace and a shock tower brace to my car. I'm asking here before i spend the money on it. Both mods are pretty cheap to do.

Thanks
Josh

I remember reading somewhere that the stut tower braces do nothing, they are more for looks, determined by ford engineers

I felt it. Honestly. But I'd have to say it depends on how hard you push your car

You'll only feel a difference if you make hard turns.

SRT Handz - I would check it out first, there were other reasons why ford dropped it in 98 besides cost.

o3redfire - If it's connected at the right places it will.

Kilgore Trout - Unless you use it for a real use like coilovers

Anything that helps stiffen up ours cars is worth the time and money in my opinion.. I have the Steeda and a KB K Memeber and the front end feels stiffer going up driveways and really hard turns.

if your car is lowered, effect is more prominent. Our car don't exactry have what they call "stiff" body structure, so anything help IMO

I agree with this. I also felt the difference right away, but with fast sharper/shorter turns. Not so much on a long fast curve.

As far as installation, the one that I bought (3-Point Brace) had 2 options for installation.
Either tap the screw holes and screw the bolt right in, or just drill the proper size hole and a use both Nuts and Bolts, but you have to reach up throught the fender well.

ADVICE: Be very carefull when removing the cowl strip that goes in front of the windshield. Do not bend it too much or it will crack!

been there done that ^^^

its pathetic how bad mine cracked when i took it off. but there is a certian procedure to remove the cowl you have to unbolt the window pillar covers on both driver and passenger sides. which i never had a clue to do not untill i got the instructions with the new cowl
i had to shell out 140 for a new cowl cover.

i wish they had an aluminum or metal replacement for that cowl cover

this is why i had to get mine the next mornin LOL

also when you undo the bolts for the windsheild pillar cover slightly separate them dont pull them off completely the instructions are provided with the new parts. so give them a once over before installing
