I am getting a used intake soon and was wondering what I could use to clean it with. I have a new can of Gunk and wanted to know if it was OK to clean my upper and lower with it? I have some carb cleaner too. Which is better?
I recently douched my Explorer upper with Gunk engine degreaser....Worked sweet and didnt roach the paint....try to keep it off as much as possible tho...cleaned up that black crud inside bigtime...spray it down, brush it up, and rinse it good...should be no problem....mine had the factory paint...if its Krylon'd or something, that may be another story...
