Just wondering is it possible to get a 5.0 in a 01GT. I love the body style of the new GT but I would like to stick a 331 with a vortech on it in the car, while keeping the AC and other accessories.
I know anything is possible but would it cost a fortune.
If there is any good threads on this ou there please supply me a link. I have searched with little luck.

is the car going to be driven on the street at all? if it is gonna be a pure off road race car then you could consider getting a body in white mustang from classic design concepts. the main problems you will run into when converting a 99+ stang to a 5.0 will be electrical, computer, and fuel systems. you could probably use a k member designed for a 94/95 stang.

If it is possible, I could get the parts. There is a shop op the road and all they do is repair salvaged title mustangs. They have everything one would need if it could be done. I wonder if anyone out there has done such a swap??
I think it would be nice to have something a little unique. I could car less if it had a slavaged title as long as it looked nice and ran good.

You'd be better off with a forged DOHC. Those things LOVE blowers.

The front chassis is essentially the same from 94-95 and 99+. If you want the new body style, the tubular K-member for a 94-95 would fit with a little work and your 331 would work. Why not just go ahead with a 347? If you're going with a carbureted setup on the 331, it would eliminate A LOT of hassle
