is seafoam safe?

i soooo wanna seafoam my car but i keep hearing things about it not being safe. that it could damage the seals among other things. and it sure doesnt help that my dad oversaw the smoke show video.

he got freaked out. i told him i was gonna pick up a bottle of the stuff and he got mad and told me not to cuz it would f up my car.

anyways, gimme some insight. i pretty much just wanna prove the old man wrong.

There is an extremely long thread about that on this site. I've read it and I still can't bring myself to dump that crap in my car. I dont wanna see my car smoke like a mosquito truck.
