Is this a good deal?

I've got a 1990 Mustang Coupe, salvage title car, with a EldeBrock Performer Upper and lower intake, Ford Racing 24 lbs fuel injectors, BBK 70MM throttle body, pro 5.0 shifter, and geared 3.55 with Nitto 555R and welds wheels.

My buddy has a 2002 GT 3rd owner of the car, very clean car, has been lowered with BBK springs, has a custom tune for the car, geared 4.10, ready for a small shot of n2o.... The car is pretty much stock execpt for wat i said ealier, has 81,000 miles all leather interior, motor is strong no leaks or smokes.....


Soo is trading my car for his plus $6000.00 a deal..

I never had a 4.6 car, always had 5.0's....

I need some opions

Go around and "kick" the tires so to speak. Check for parts that would be expensive to replace or have someone to replace, ball joints; b/c you said the car was lowered, inner and outer tierods and so on and so forth. I would personally ask for time and date of spark plug change, and how he did them to avoid a blow out, steering pump leaks, just basic maitenance, like the rear end bearings. If he changed the rear gears, check the axles for speed sensor damage. For some reason people are havin problems w/speedsensors after gear install. If you can get a OBD2 scanner to read to see if everthing is at an equilibriam. Again, try to get him to remember the dates of his maintenances.

i think he's giving him his car plus 6k. I wouldnt do it. I dunno how clean your fox is, but clean ones are hard to come buy these days, and with the market the way it is, im sure you can find one just as clean....if not cleaner, for just 6k minus giving him the car.


if i were u, i would go buy another mustang, but, if u want to only keep one, id sell the fox, buy another clean mustang and use the money to get started for the modding. happy buying!!! its always exciting shopping for a new car.

i got my 2001 for $8500 canadian, with cat back magnapack predator tuner torq thrust rims and new tires with only 68000 miles. im also the third owner, if i were you id just wait around for a bit even i think i could have gotten mine a bit cheaper

a clean fox even with a salvage title these days can go for 6k itself
